Solids Consultation

Solids Feeding Consultation

(Available as a follow-up appointment for current or former clients)

Introducing solids can feel exciting—but it can also be challenging. A Solids Feeding Consultation with A Mother’s Village is designed to support families in preventing and resolving common feeding concerns in babies and toddlers.

We Can Help With:

  • Solids refusal: Your baby or toddler seems disinterested in eating but isn't distressed when offered food.

  • Feeding aversion: Mealtimes are stressful, and your child becomes upset when placed in the highchair or when offered food—despite showing signs of hunger.

  • Reliance on distractions: Your child will only eat if entertained by screens, toys, or books.

  • Gagging or choking: Frequent gagging or choking with solids, whether due to oral motor delays, behavioral responses, or general feeding refusal/distress.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Guidance on helping your child develop a healthy relationship with food

  • Strategies to support self-feeding and explore a variety of tastes and textures

  • Clarity on what’s normal, what’s not, and how to move forward with confidence

  • Referrals to trusted pediatric specialists if additional support is needed
